She/Her. I should put something here but i'm no good at these things.
£23 million pounds bung, That EHRC A status is getting expensive to maintain, it was only £1m last time they nearly had it taken away.
The irony of her Hansard contribution after using the search term 'trans' "not least the way that trans people’s reality and experience has been denied."
Except the GRA doesn't say "some purpose" it says "All purposes" with some explicit exceptions. Scottish Ministers extended expressed exceptions to be implied exceptions if a way can be found to reinterpret parliament intent.
Oh lord help us! The minister for women and equalities thinks the Equality act and its associated code of practice, a piece of legislation her brief is responsible for only applies to adults. Good grief
And this idiot needs to realise we see what she has done and is doing and there is no indication she intends to reject the guidance or has ever indicated a need for fixing the legislation to protect trans people. If he votes for her then he should lose our support, published guidance or not.
Apparently they can't even tell they are having sex with a trans woman when they are being penetrated by one. We've been so successful with women can have a penis that stupid men now think they are getting fucked in the ass by a cis woman with a dick.
My god they quite literally have the toilet police, and when they are not there it's locked with pin code access. Presumably your pin code is immutable and determined at conception based on your egg production potential, faulty, poultry or otherwise.
Thought they just painted it gold, nothing as extravagant as real gold plating for shazza. A golden shazza would just wash it off. It's in the paper of record so it must be true, fully researched and true. Lady golden shazza of warm puddle
Hold on there's something fishy about this chart. The 3 younger groups there was overwhelming support for trans women but in the older 3, two of them were pretty even yet the overall figure matches these. It suggests an age bias in the polling with more participants recruited in the opposed groups
Falkner herself claimed in the W&ESC review to personally represent 8 of the 9 protected characteristics. I can't figure if she transitioned or is having a miracle geriatric pregnancy.
New email just landed in my MPs inbox complete with PDF attachment for easy (uneasy) reading. Content in alt text FFS shouldn't have to be emailing my MP before 7.30Am and coffee, but the absolute state of this country! Got the EHRC pre appointment scrutiny meeting later as well.
The Libdems are going to roll over and just accept and implement whatever guidance the GC activist led EHRC comes up with. My Libdem MP even went as far as saying it's always been possible to exclude trans people as if that makes the EHRC guidance ok
except the supreme court didn't say that, they just kicked the can down the road saying the definition of biological is the ordinary meaning and obvious whilst forgetting they just issued a judgement on the definition of sex which was apparently equally obvious and them doing so causing chaos.
Can I be the first to congratulate Kishwer Falkner on the expectation of her next child. A truly amazing pregnancy at the age 70 Because she surely isn't claiming to have the protected characteristic of gender reassignment as pretty sure she is cis and certainly isn't associated with trans people
Could they have given a clearer description of conversion therapy if they had tried?
If only LGBT Labour members would have as much integrity as the FCA LGBTQ+ staff network and rather than whine about being banned for representing a party harming the community, boycott their party flag and refuse to represent Labour at Pride. www.thepinknews.com/2025/06/02/f...
I was surprised the SC said that you can't ask to see a GRC as I thought that was just folklore. But as the SC based and hinged their judgement on it with their you can't tell between a TW GRC holder, non GRC TW or man because you can't ask to see a GRC skit, pa 202, I guess it's now actual law.
EHRC used a mother with a 10yr son as an example and said it was permitted as the son wasn't a threat (don't laugh) and it encouraged the mothers participation. The guidance is shit. We knew that, it's because the law is now shit and unworkable and incompatible with ECHR.
"every explanation of equality law from the EHRC will be accurate and authoritative" EHRC do realise for 15 years and until as recently last month they thought and published authoritatively that the EA2010 meant something else, not even they had claimed the law was where the supreme court put it
Even worse in the text. One of only five with imposible legal frameworks for gender recognition. UK, Russia, Belarus, Hungary and Georgia.
They ranked us amongst 5 countries with impossible legal frameworks for gender recognition. UK, Russia Hungary Bulgaria Georgia
Interesting as my MP was so proud of the Libdems voting against it in the HofC. Nb "we" in the screenshot didn't include him as he abstained. And didn't seem worried about human rights of trans people but concerned it was too much bother.
She flat out denied that as even a question Her answer was self contradictory though unless she has another idea of what "biological sex" means than everyone seems to think it does. But then we all thought we understood the EA for the last 20 years too. Roll on 20 years of "what is biological sex"
