Our calico Japanese bobtail has been gone nearly four years and we will always miss her. (We adopted her when she was 12 and had lost her first home for health reasons and second owing to divorce. We aren't purebred cat types but didn't want her to go to a shelter. She was a great cat.)
Julius, my orange boy, is a sweetheart. Of course he wants to spend about 85% of his time sitting on me, which can be inconvenient.
I'm here for about 28 hours before heading for points south. Too bad everything is closed tonight. Might leave my luggage at the hotel and try to do something before I catch the TGV at 3:30. 1/

Our cat was 7 when I took him home from the municipal animal shelter. Previous cat was adopted privately; she was 12. Her original people gave her up for health reasons. The first family who took her in split up and neither of the divorcing parties could keep her. Sunny the Japanese Bobtail:
