Literal Banana
@literalbanana
a very serious person who is definitely a real person
random verbena from a seed packet that just happens to be my favorite flower colors (apricot and white)
first dahlia of the season is opening I love how his petals are still folded up, very organized and tidy
I got this stupid little solar fountain and put it in a bowl and the chickadees and goldfinches love it, they go to the spa and then have a sunflower leaf buffet and my husband says I should run a casino for them so they can have the whole resort experience
new papyrus buds (their pots live in large bowls of water but you can't see them in the photos)
he is a dahlia, specifically Mom's Special and his flowers look like this and are like 8" wide, but he was very droopy last year too I think that's just how that variety is
the little goldfinches pick the leaves clean but that's the entire reason I grow sunflowers it's so cute (the sunflowers still manage to grow and bloom I guess they didn't need those leaves anyway??)
you're doing bear activities with bear tendencies bears are your friends, bears are your enemies
I love opuntia flowers the petals are like fine shavings of translucent wax or soap (plus bonus bee who has clocked out for the day)
pansies aren't as good as dahlias but they can do one of the few things dahlias can't do which is to be blue
congratulations! this is the one I'm growing that I'm most excited about, it's really common but I don't care I think it's beautiful (Break Out)
love this explanation - reminds me of Yudkowsky's take on free will (which I like)
I don't believe in placebo healing but there are a lot of situations where directing mental effort in specific ways changes physical ability/experience which I think is different and real
this was somebody else's mixing work but I'm realizing I probably over-mix and I could be way lazier about it and just let the spinning and especially plying do more of the work, like I usually turn A into B but I could just spin A
idk what I was expecting it to look like spun up but it wasn't that
coffee arabica number one recommendation for house plant, he just chills and never complains or gets dramatic
noise from being like 31 people I think? maybe the few people who mark themselves as NB are unusual in various ways - in general online samples are high % AIs themselves but maybe NBs are people?
I looked out of curiosity, probably not this one but I'm impressed he exists www.etsy.com/listing/1699...
