It's always a treat getting to commission any art from Shannon. Comms might be closing soon (maybe?) but it's worth keeping an eye out for more flash comms (or full comms! Those are also absolutely worth it!) I mean, just look at my FF14 character they did an update on! Captured them perfectly!
I hate fucking everything today, but I especially hate google that pushes down actual useful results to searches (on work computers, so I have no other IT approved options for my browser other than Edge or whatever the fuck it's called now) for this shit:
Love to live in the good ol' US of A. Nothing but the best unfettered and careless capitalism for us! Definitely not like this is a safety issue or that anything bad could from from working in a warehouse/manufacturing facility/trendy office setup with no cell service.
If headshots aren't your thing, Shannon has other stuff in their etsy shop, like the wooden standees of Dragon Age love-interests, a large collection of which are shown below in my collection of little guys.
I mean, c'mon! Look at these! They're great! And I am only a little biased because they're some of my favorite characters of my own creation.
Another for my growing collected of Dragon Age love interests! This time, it's Merrill DragonAge2! @shannonmanorart.bsky.social does amazing work! You, too, could receive a lovely little standee to delight you every time your gaze happens across it on your shelf for an incredibly reasonable price!
I got great gifts from the other members of my Dragon Age Book Club but the one that absolutely takes the cake is the Leliana standee from @shannonmanorart.bsky.social's shop. I'd bought the other members their DAO love interests from Shannon's shop already, so my friend perfectly closed the loop.
I love the story developments here and there's so much good art in this whole comic, but this tiny little bit here, from panel 3, is absolutely perfect.
I played this game as a child and it taught me a lot about grief and death and healing that it would take me almost two decades to fully understand. Even now, I'm not sure I've found a better text on what ot means to heal after loss than Majora's Mask...
This number is both much lower and a bit higher than I thought it would be. First it seemed too low, but then I remembered how things were when it started out (and how long I had to wait to finally get an invite) and then it felt a little too high. Those were truly the days....
Love an article that starts talking about how a company whose negligience has killed people would cause suffering to all its customers if it was, say, to be held accountable for its literal crimes or actually held to the safety standards it has been avoiding all this time. Good reporting. Yup.
I love the work @punklenix.bsky.social did for me! I haven't decided what to do with them yet, but just the thought of putting them on my desk at work is giving me life.
I've never wanted to crash into a parked car as much as I do right now.
It takes a lot of practice but I marvel at how much progress I've made every time I catch myself starting to spiral and can stop it. But also thank YOU for sharing this! Art is a lot of work and I really want to emphasize how much I appreciate you doing that work and putting it out there.
We've gotten so much snow in Wisconsin this week already and more's coming down today. Who knows how much we'll wind up with since it already looks like it's two feet deep!
Apropos of absolutely nothing, I'd like to recommend that any new Bisky users give @lepas.bsky.social a follow so you can read her excellent comic, Wilde Life. Why? Because this panel was in it and I'm still thinking about it almost a year and a half later.
Quote with a meme that lets us all get to know you a little better.
