Lithuania's whole-of-society approach is a genuine engagement of businesses, academia, media, NGOs, & citizens’ initiatives to be more critical & more resilient to all types of foreign influence. FIMI industry is too cheap to run, with minimal accountability for its perpetrators.
Participants from whole-of-society at 'Be(a)ware!' were clear: ➡️disinformation an FIMI is an economic threat, causing real damage; ➡️much more resources needed to improve the EU's anticipation and resilience; ➡️spreading lies is too easy and too cheap, with minimum accountability.

On June 15, 1940, the USSR occupied Lithuania. Soviets did not care about breaking international treaties. Deportations, murders, and terrors followed for the next 50 years. Russia took on the legacy of the USSR. The aggressor cannot be tolerated and must be stopped.
The USSR regime claimed millions of innocent lives. The first mass deportation of Lithuanian residents took place on 14-19 June 1941. Around 17K innocent people were deported from Lithuania to Siberia – most of them were women & children. Many never returned home.
