Little Jeremy
@littlejeremy
GenX, SoCal transplant, empty nester, nerd, Virgo. I’m a nice guy. Mostly… He/Him 🏳️🌈
Took this selfie today and realized I’m aging just like my dad. I’ll be 53 this month. Where did the years go?
After installing a media panel behind my tv and fishing 4 identical HDMI cables through the wall, I realized I forgot to label them. Where’s Tangina when you need her?
New phone. Camera is too good. Someone get me a Vaseline filter, please.
Our new doors are finally finished! I think I’ll hire the work out next time though. It took three weekends.
The ca 1969 doors are gone and we have completed demo for the new doors we are installing. I could’ve paid someone, but why miss out on all the frustration and drama of doing it myself?
Sophia is looking quite concerned. I just dug a piece of plastic out of her mouth, (and she was REALLY looking forward to swallowing it, thank you very much.)
The shit we do for our dogs. Our backyard is basically concrete and rocks, so we installed artificial grass (by ourselves) in the side yard so they have a cozy place to pee. It was back breaking work, but it turned out nice! Best of all: The dogs approve.
Day two of my annual pilgrimage to Licensing Expo. Always exhausting, but also worth it!
Ding dong the nasty metal shed is gone. Coming soon: My loooong dreamed of outdoor kitchen. Yet another thing to love about my Southern California life.
I spent the morning getting my garden beds ready for planting. We plan to grow three types of tomatoes, pickling cucumbers, zucchini, green onion, cilantro, basil, and strawberries. All stuff we will eat and preserve.
My poor little brawler was attacked through the fence today and had to have his sweet little face all stitched up. 😢
I bought myself a chainsaw on a stick. Tomorrow, either the overgrown mulberry tree in my front yard or I will lose limbs. I don’t give myself great odds, tbh.
I don’t usually post about work, but sometimes I get to work on projects that give me such a thrill. In my head I can hear my 5-year old daughter screaming “Take me to Kentucky Fried Chicken!” And just like that, my whole day is better.
I’m losing my mind in my old age. I literally just tried to pinch-to-zoom the teeny tiny text on this package.
Lesson learned. NEVER leave a dog home alone with a working robot vacuum. Our poor rug will never be the same. 💩🤢🤮
I love Southern California weather. My mind is blown: It’s January, it’s sunny, it’s 75°!!
I was greeted with tail wags and finger licks this morning, so I think we are going to be friends. I’m already in love, but little Sophia is going to take a bit more time. 🥰
Picture it, Palmdale 2025: a beautiful young peasant girl is rescued from the animal shelter and delivered into a life of puppy luxury and treats. So many treats. Meet Sophia, everyone.
Pretty sure my gran was controlling me Ratatouille-style from beyond. For the first time in my life, my pie pastry tasted EXACTLY like she used to make. 🥲
Just marvel at this absolute UNIT of a Christmas tree! I promise I’m not a size queen. Except for THIS. It brings me joy.
Our first house catastrophe. Roof was damaged by a windstorm a few weeks ago, and we sprung a leak in this weekend’s SoCal monsoon. Patched for now…
Decided to just embrace the baldness. It’s cheaper and less painful than hair plugs. Besides, I’m old enough now I just dgaf what I look like anymore. Ha!
