Living on a Greek island - beachcombing, yoga, music, nature, gardening :)
Had a fabulous Saturday on the east coast of #Crete at the stunning Phalasarna. We were in vest tops + shorts (with wellies!). There was a calm, receding tide, pink sand and no wind, whereas it's usually blustery and wild. The sun shone all afternoon and we stayed until dusk fell.
Caught in the rain walking on the beach at Souda Bay, Crete after a trip to Chania open-air market. We sheltered under a tarp at a small (+ probably illegal) beach bar built by local villagers.A guy was swimming in the sea - he walked out, picked up his umbrella + put it up to walk to his car! :)
I spent a fab afternoon in shorts, a vest top, and flipflops on stunning Stavros Beach on the Greek island of Crete 😎 . The mountain turns gold when it's bathed in the light of the setting sun.
Out shopping this morning + stopped to feed the ducks as I walked across the bridge then noticed this little kitty enjoying the sunshine on the riverbank outside a local taverna :)
Yay! I came home from a 10-day house/dog-sit in the next village to find one of the flowers on my Orbea Variegata had opened :) . There are five more flowers in various stages of development. #orbea #succulent #flower #plants #garden
One time on the walk down to Aberthaw with the kids (picking and eating blackberries as we went) we met two big guys with all their fishing gear racing back to their cars after seeing the "Beware of snakes" sign.
#OnlyInGreece! A local duck waits patiently on the bonnet of the car parked alongside the beach while his owner is in the sea swimming. I've been seeing this duck on the passenger seat in local villages for the past three years :)
Fab day at the beach in Georgiopouli yesterday - the sea was calm enough for a swim, the sun was hot, and the views of both the sea and the mountains were amazing!
My lovely little yellow succulent flowers open each night 🙂 . #flowers #succulents #nightflower
Came across this charming little house whilst wandering around a mountain village looking for a taverna for lunch.
Yesterday's stunning beach at Kissamos, Crete. The sea was too rough for swimming so we walked along the strand, paddling now and then to cool down in the hot sun. A fab meal at a harbour-side taverna on the way home.
