More physicals are chillin’ as well.

Imagine you’re standing in front of a well-used desk or gaming shelf. The surface is light gray with faint scratches and a few loose hairs scattered across it, giving it the feel of a space that’s actively used rather than kept like a museum display.

The first thing your attention is drawn to is a tall tower of video game cases stacked on the right. The stack leans ever so slightly but looks stable, like it’s been carefully balanced. The cases are a mix of green Xbox cases and black or clear PlayStation 3 cases, creating alternating bands of color.

Reading from the top of the stack downward, you can make out titles including:

Immediately to the left of this tower stands a single PlayStation 5 game upright like a book on a shelf. Only its spine is visible. It has a bright orange background with bold black lettering that reads “Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves – Special Edition.” The orange spine contrasts sharply with the mostly dark stack beside it, making it stand out.

Further left is a shorter pile of clear PlayStation game cases stacked flat. The top case is Final Fantasy I–VI Collection Anniversary Edition for the Nintendo Switch. Its cover is clean and mostly white, decorated with small, classic pixel-art characters marching across the center. The rest of the cases underneath are turned so only their transparent edges are visible.

The background is filled with bits of colorful posters or large game boxes. Only fragments can be seen—bold artwork, dramatic colors, and cut-off logos—giving the impression of a room dedicated to gaming and collectibles without distracting from the neatly organized cases in …

Just using my media. Dragonquest III on a PS5 with a Fire Emblem Three Houses The Art Book behind it also being all physical.

Front and center is a blue PlayStation 5 game case, standing upright and leaning slightly backward. The glossy plastic catches the light. Across the top is the familiar white PS5 banner.

The cover art is painted in soft, watercolor-like strokes rather than sharp digital graphics. A lone young hero stands on the edge of a rocky cliff, viewed mostly from behind. He wears blue clothing with a long purple cape that billows dramatically to the right, as if caught by a strong wind. In one hand he grips a sword pointed downward, and on his other arm is a round shield. He appears to be staring toward a distant fantasy castle glowing faintly in shades of blue and gold, surrounded by swirling clouds and mist. The title, Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, stretches across the upper middle in large blue-and-gold fantasy lettering.

Behind the game case, partially hidden, are two large art books. On the left, only fragments of the title are visible, but the words “Three Houses” can be read in large gold letters on a black cover, with an ornate gold emblem beneath. On the right is another book featuring warm tan and orange artwork, showing part of an illustrated person in flowing robes.

The Dragon Quest case rests on top of a neat stack of other PlayStation games laid flat. The top case is black with the title Monster Hunter Wilds printed in white along its edge. Beneath it, another case reads Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon in white lettering. At the very bottom, the spine of Capcom Fighting Collection peeks out with colorful artwork.

The overall feeling is that of a carefully arranged collection from someone who enjoys Japanese role-playing games and action games. The lighting is warm and slightly dim, making the painted Dragon Quest cover stand out vividly against the darker books and game cases surrounding it.

Started my morning off with a few Autechre live recordings. One from 2020 then another from 2022. They all bring such different energy and texture. The 20 recordings stays minimal throughout where the 2022 goes deeper into those textures. Highly recommended if one does so enjoy.

A close-up photo shows a small action figure of a sci-fi bounty hunter — likely inspired by Boba Fett from Star Wars — awkwardly stuffed headfirst into a tan, cave-like container or decorative cup. Only the upper body and arms are visible above the rim.

The figure wears green armor with dark red accents and black gloves. One arm hangs limply over the edge, fingers slightly curled, while the helmeted head is tilted downward into the opening as if the character fell in accidentally. A thin antenna sticks up from the side of the helmet. The armor has scuffs and dust, giving it a worn, used look.

The container itself is textured and organic-looking, almost like carved clay or the inside of a creature’s nest or skull. There’s a dark hollow opening on the front side.

The camera flash is very bright, creating shiny reflections on the plastic figure and harsh shadows around the edges. The whole image has a humorous tone — it looks like the toy got stuck and is trying to climb out.

The Music of Under Night In Birth, a disc which came with the UIB collectors edition re-released in 2020, composed by Raito.

You’re looking down at a small tabletop music setup on a white surface.

On the left is a compact CD player with its lid open. The lid is translucent, slightly frosted plastic. Inside, a disc is spinning rapidly—so fast that the artwork on it blurs into a circular swirl of reds, whites, and darker tones. At the bottom front of the player, a small blue digital display glows, showing the track time counting up.

The right side of the player has a strip of wood-grain paneling with a few slim black buttons and a larger round knob near the bottom. A black cable is plugged into the side and curves off the table.

To the right of the player, there’s a CD case lying flat. The cover shows stylized anime artwork: a blond-haired character in a red outfit leaning casually, with another darker-haired figure behind them. The colors are bold—deep reds, purples, and blacks—and the overall look is dramatic and slightly moody.
