I think it’s important to note that I saw many new faces that I’ve never seen at vision zero advocacy before. That’s a good thing.
Hey @planning.boston.gov! Why are we downzoning in the year of our lord 2026?
It’s been two years and radio silence and we don’t have updated zoning.
Spoken like a policy that’s never spoken to chefs before I gotta be honest…
Me at every one of these budget hearings hand wringing about the deficit.
Heard yall keep citing this book out in the wild of the Boston City Council and I can tell yall didn’t read it.
I’m gonna say something: some of yall don’t understand how southern poverty is unique to Black poverty in this country and it shows. The number one way to destroy the spirit of the poor in the Deep South is to destroy their ability to be mobile.
American workers really don’t get how screwed they are over slashing the IRA
They chose to then isolate this area as “outside of Allston village.” Park Vale is in fact the heart of Allston Village. But I do appreciate that we are talking about how denser housing types do currently exist in Allston despite community meetings of the past saying otherwise
A constant theme being brought up is “not all types of additional housing pathways are appropriate for all areas.” And not really explaining why that is. The underlying tone is that we don’t want to scare single family home owners it seems.
Hearing @planning.boston.gov present zoning ideas today along with my neighbors of @abhousingaction.org
Important context: he has butted heads with the mayor because of personal issues that came far before the political ones. His only motivation is political vengeance. He has no background in economics and is completely unqualified for this conversation
