Back again with another fun fixture, generic tube light with wireless dmx (so that I don't have to wire the thing 😂)
Pretty happy with the bake, but the details still need a bit of work. Not bad for a nearly cube mesh tho... low to low baking is so nice and quick to work with.
Not my finest work, but needed a truck and couldn't find anything easily adaptable online so made something from scratch. Vehicle modelling is a world unto itself, the more I learn the more I have crazy respect for the people that do this day in day out.

Managed to sort UVGen (atleast texture) from a fun GeoNodes, now all the cables are the same texel density which is neat...

I tried to do the Shelter thingy with a skin with SONAR's logo plastered on it but I'm not sure it worked at all 😅. I need some iconography to do it with instead with a bit more whitespace to make that style work. But yeah a little bit different weathering.

A few quid and an hour to disassemble, clean and reassemble makes for a good little control box.
A bit more progress, almost done on the face plate, the back plate will take a while to get done since it is a fairly complex rear panel.
Happy I'm getting around to working on this again, but without the most complex texture project I've ever worked on. Massive respect to all of the texture artists that have done DJ gear in the past, phew this is exhausting! #vrchat #3dmodel #texturing #marmoset
Finally back home after an incredible week at GDC. I learned a lot, spoke to some very cool people, and explored a bit of the world I hadn't been to before! Overall, an amazing trip!
