I don't currently have a garden as it all needs reinstating and currently looks like a field. These hostas are in one corner by the house.
I had a nice potter in Tankerness House garden this morning, and bought a couple of things at the plant sale. I think this is a Korean fir. The cones are more purple in the flesh.
Not sure it's my favourite, but it's the first one I thought of. Well worth watching if you've not seen it.

While looking for something else I came across this. Poor guillemot had come down on my track and wasn't able to get airborne again. I popped him in the car and took him a couple of miles to the harbour so he could have a good run at it over some deep water. Which he did, and off he went.

There are so many hares out and about near me and they're fantastic to see. I saw an incredible 7 the other day, but usually 1-3. I never stop the car for a picture in case I bother them, but I'd stopped yesterday to check my phone and this chap waited for me to go before he crossed the road.
I thought this was a joke about Vance phoning Cheeto Benito and him not answering, but of course, it's real.
The sea is lively today as it's still breezy. A not very good photo through an upstairs window of the sea at Skaill. I went to the free open day at Skaill House this afternoon, which was very nice.
