As Americans are getting crushed by high costs, Trump said that the largest housing affordability bill in decades is “so unimportant” and a “big yawn”. He would know about yawning.

I had a wonderful meeting today with some Californians advocating on behalf of @unausa.bsky.social and full funding for the United Nations. Our cooperation with other nations through the UN is critical to address international crises like disease and climate change.

While this decision should have been unanimous, today’s Supreme Court ruling affirmed the obvious: birthright citizenship is the law of the land and attempts to undermine the 14th Amendment will not stand.

The State Department acknowledges that conditions in Haiti & Syria are still unsafe. Sending TPS holders back there now would put their lives at risk.

This bill passed 358-32 in the House. Something with that much bipartisan support is rare, and yet Trump is now refusing to sign one of the largest housing affordability bills in decades. Americans want cheaper housing, not tantrums from the Oval Office.

Earlier this year, I presented a $900k check I secured for the new Sí Se Puede Behavior Health Center in Watsonville. On Friday, I was thrilled to speak at the grand opening! This facility will change lives, and I thank them for their work to address substance use disorder.

It was so nice to see @pajarovalleyusd.bsky.social students at the Capitol during their trip from Watsonville to Washington! They had some fantastic questions, and I hope that this visit inspired them to consider the many ways they can serve our community and our country.
