Hmm, I think I need to set out a couple of box’s tonight. This guy, whatever it is, has been showing up on my trail cam during wee hours the past week or so.
So…last May I had a bird toilet car. Wasn’t sitting under a tree, and the other three vehicles right next to it were fine. No friggin’ idea what happened. Maybe the ravens had some sort of pitched battle right above my car…?
A day late, but here are a few from Christmas Day, and the day after. (Best viewed with brightness turned all the way up. )

I’m in the Olympic Mountains, and was able to get these rather impressionistic pictures. There wasn’t really any color visible to the eye, but my old iPhone got these. Such a surprise to take what looks like will be a blank black picture, then see some lovely colors!
I’m over in the Olympic Mountains, so I ran outside, hoping maybe the clouds were slow to get here. Not much visible to the eye, but the iPhone caught these.
Getting our share in the Olympics, too. 1.59” here so far. The latest surge showed a rate of 0.85” per hour. 👀 Very windy, but my weather station is only 10’ up, so it’s only registered as high as 4.5 mph today.

No other pups here today, either, but it means something very different to us today. We’ve basically been on lock down for almost a week. It’s a rather long sad story. But there was a pack of six potentially dangerous dogs on the loose on our mountain for the past six days, but they are now gone.
If I didn’t know better, I’d think someone stole my whole wheat sourdough pancakes and lost them all while escaping.
Living in an area known as a “cloud forest,” it’s certainly been quite an unusual summer here. But Aspen says HELLO! He says that long driveway walkies are the best!
Same here! My poor trees have been so stressed! Friday morning I was so thrilled to step outside and hear it raining. It sounded louder than usual, maybe due to drying leaves. Seconds later, I heard a deep crack. Something I expect with a heavy snow, not a light rain. Minutes later, a tree fell.
