It was a treat today to have Carme Isern-Mas (@isernmas.bsky.social) as a guest lecturer at the Antwerp-Ghent-VU Brussel Research Masters in Philosophy. Students loved her ongoing work on therapy speak, and we had a great discussion on mental health, relationships and the social use of words.

Although I am very excited about the future, one thing I know for sure is that it will be extremely hard to ever work with a group of people as outstanding as Tilburg’s philosophy dept. It’s not merely sentimental praise—I am convinced of it, and immensely grateful for having had them as colleagues

I ended scrubbing it off with soap and leaving instead the most important piece of knowledge in that board: the number of IT services, who are the goats of the university admin together with the Library people

I’m clearing up my Tilburg office and wondering what to do with these notes for a paper on narrative responsibility that is yet to be started, and which I suspect won’t come out easily since I wrote these in 2023. It could perhaps be my legacy
