Current work read (again)

Cover to a the book "Teenagers From The Future esseys in the LEGION of SUPER-HEROES". It is an homage to the cover of Adventure #247, featuring 3 figures seated behind a desk, and one standing in front. The seated figures are (left to right) Cosmos Lad (green skin and yellow hair, head in a bubble helmet, wearing red and yellow), Electro Boy (white skin and white hair, wearing black and yellow with a zigzag pattern), and Asteroid Girl (white skin and red hair with antenna, wearing pink with an asteroid on her chest). Each is pressing a button, with a lit up "No" on the front of the desk. Cosmos Lad is saying "I'm sorry, Emphatic Boy! Your no longer in continuity!" The standing figure is wearing a red spandex suit, with a blue cape, yellow boots, yellow trunks, and a symbol in black and yellow in his chest. He looks dismayed.

I loathe the phrase "laser focused"

A sheet of steel, with many squares cut out of it, each with 4 holes and the number 4077 etched onto them. Several of the squares are not cut out, and show melted steel in the seam where it should be

Having just finished "A Wizard of Earthsea" yesterday, this pleases me.

3 panels from a comic.

Top panel: A dragon, speaking in distorted word bubbles that read "*hnf-hnf* I am called Joan. Joan of Arc, you pathetic little worm. Don't they teach you dragonslayers not to reveal your names these days? Not that it matters, Diana of the Amazons. For I knew of your project before you spoke it."

Off panel, the dragon replies "Sounds carry so deep beneath the earth. And you have not told the whole prophecy, have you Diana?"
Wonder Woman answers back "what r the Oracle spoke is no concern of yours"

Today's read? Wonder Woman, roleplaying as Saturn Girl to stop Zaryan the Conqueror. That 3rd panel made me Bwahaha loud enough to startle the cat.

Over 30 years ago,when I was just a Ladofheck, my old man participated in this very derby. His friend hand painted the TMNT all over his car, earning the loudest cheers of the night. He lost, but this was super cool.
