I love the way the unopened buds create an orange haze. I had to stop and look at it for a while. It did something good to my brain.
Today is purple day. I particularly love the intense purple of a flowering bush whose name I don't know that drops its petals in a purple puddle. The color of this flower electrifies my eyeballs.
If I were a tourist in a European city, I'd be all, "Wow, what cool architecture." This is downtown #Oakland. I'm making a pact with myself to notice *here* more often. It's pretty magnificent.

The Bay Area, in a fit of contrariness, decided *summer* is too ordinary. Gray skies and a chill wind in July. I gave in today and wore my down coat but also my sandals, because I refuse to give up on summer.

I work remotely and could wear jeans and a t-shirt most days if I wanted, but I wear bright, colorful clothing because it makes me happy. Yesterday, I discovered a new benefit: it helps me find my people. I made a new friend because someone was grooving on my smiling flower overalls.

My current #knitting project is a sweater for my wife's birthday in December...of last year. I'm stuck on "sleeve island." I've made the front and back but I got to the part where I had to decrease for the first sleeve cap and stalled out. Too much writing about knitting, not enough actual knitting!
