Border Wall infill project, Jacumba CA, developing westward. Absolutely disgusting -- the devastation to this beautiful environment.

This picture was taken going west from Jacumba CA on Old Hwy 80. The Border Wall can be seen on the left about ½ way down the photo. The picture shows the destruction of this beautiful high desert environment, as a scar in the landscape is created to install the bollards and continue the wall westward. The rocky hillside is being carved into. Below the rocky hillside is native green vegetation.

Mister Chumley looks non-threatening, but take his temperature and agro cat is here. He no longer has to go to the vet annually, we got a lifetime prescription for his cat food. Thank goodness!

Crazy Lady Syndrome

People look at me like I’m crazy, as if I’m making things up when I tell them what I’ve been
witnessing and experiencing. I know I’m not.
I know the US Forest Service Law Enforcement Oﬃcer who pulled me over for an alleged traﬃc
violation on a freeway ramp in the high-desert area east of San Diego is working with the San
Diego County Sheriﬀ’s, CBP, and ICE.
Then that story leads to another when they say it cannot be true; your car isn’t an immigrant’s
car. And I go into rescuing a car from an impound lot in Indio, CA, where cars are taken after
the occupants have been snatched up.
The person working at the lot took us into the yard and, once we were away from the white guy
inside, began to explain how all these cars, pickup trucks, and vans got there. BMWs, Sprinter
vans, Mercedes, etc., all there. Held for 30 days and then sold at auction.
I usually won’t go into how these people were taken because when I get into that………..
The technology is real, and they do listen to people’s calls while they are driving on the freeway,
including I-10 (Phoenix to LA) and I-8 (Phoenix to San Diego). I know this because this is where
I live, and we rescued a car for the family.
People still have no idea what is happening with mass deportation within our borders.
I tell the stories of these and other experiences and try not to take it personally that they think
I’m crazy or exaggerating.
It was both satisfying and heart-wrenching to drive up to LA recently and point out to the
others in the car. There’s someone being taken, there’s another person being taken, and then
another. I believe that if I hadn’t pointed it out, they would not have noticed.
My mental health is suﬀering; I’ve lost friends; I’m constantly on guard; I don’t trust law
enforcement; I’m tired.

It's been decades of tough-on-crime policies, mass incarceration & expanding surveillance. This is not working. We’ve criminalized poverty, addiction, mental illness, homelessness, and more. Safety comes from housing, healthcare, treatment, opportunity, and strong communities. Care prevents crime.

The circular donut diagram on the left illustrates the Root Causes of Crime in 3 sections. One section is Low income, Inadequate housing, and a lack of educational/employment opportunities. Another section is Loss of a family member (divorce, death, abandonment), Parental dysfunction (addiction, mental illness, criminal behavior), and Domestic violence, abuse, neglect. And the final section has Discrimination, Bullying, Addiction, and Disorders that affect impulsivity (e.g., FASD, ADHD, etc).

This is an image of a detention/incarceration center. Jail cells are on the right, moving left, you see posts lined up on a concrete floor, holding up the next level of cells. Then, still moving left, with what looks like space for people, machines, etc., to move, and then a chain-link fence with some barred windows at maybe 8 feet up. There is also a chain-link above the area, which could be considered a hall?
