It's been decades of tough-on-crime policies, mass incarceration & expanding surveillance. This is not working. We’ve criminalized poverty, addiction, mental illness, homelessness, and more. Safety comes from housing, healthcare, treatment, opportunity, and strong communities. Care prevents crime.
