I just installed a native plant garden for a friend. I grew most of the plants myself and finally got time to get them in their yard. #KILLYOURLAWN One bit at a time

A small native plant garden in the corner of a fenced yard. The gardener has laid cardboard and coverd it with soil to smother the turf grass beneath. Prairie dock, swamp milkweed, blazing star and anise hyssop have been planted. They are not big but will fill in nicely as summer goes on.

Why is it I see all the turkeys when it is no longer season? Nice beard on the closest bird. I was impressed how unphased they were when I stopped my car to snap a photo.
