After getting it home, stripping it down to the studs, I pulled wire for electrictiy, put in insulation, a ceiling with old barn wood, wallboard and some free cabinets found online. She-shed in progress.
We went and got it. Easier said than done. It was a white knuckle drive the 40 miles to my place. Then....
Where it started. My sister bought property and it had this shed on it that she wanted gone. Sooooo...
No particular reason for posting this. It's what I made and delivered to my son's house on his 40th birthday (with marguarita makings!) Am I a good mom? I started with a half sheet of plywood, covered in heavy foil. He liked this better than any gift I could have purchased! #tacotuesday
Look what my daughter made for me! Book mark material! Plus, the bare bones to a Wordpress website, which still needs quite a bit of work - I'll get around to that once I finish uploading the two books this week. I am one lucky mama!💓 The Pot Stirrers, ebook version, published YESTERDAY. 📚💙
OK then, here's a little shout out to: the book I published in 2024 (The Whistlers), the book I will publish in Oct 2026 (The Pot Stirrers), ^Magic & Mayhem, contemporary fantasy series & the half dozen manuscripts I've shelved due to imposter syndrome which (RIP) may never see the light of day.
OR.. place it on this ever so fancy bookmark holder/display thingie I made out of an old lazy susan, scrap wood, & tchotchkes for a someday book table signing event.
My Abner approves of Jim's technique, and says that more stretching is how the world becomes a better place. He would like all of the world to participate in a group stretch tomorrow.
Ricky approves your message! He says to tell you he appreciates the acknowledgement of his species specialness, and also tuna. Tuna is always appreciated.
My sister, a textile wonder woman, who also #beta-reads my novels is making me a quilted wall hanging in honor of my next novel. This is the large center square which will be surrounded by assorted fabric squares (stars, moons, black cats, more crows...). I have THE BEST sisters in the world! 📚💙
It's amazing, especially since I got it for free, moved it to my property, gutted it, pulled wire for electricity, finished the walls, used our old carport wood for accent walls and ceiling, added free cabinets and carpet. Spent less than $1200 and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I've never had my own space.
In this case, for Jimmy, pie represents the truth about who he is. #WIP
