USA Today and Sunday Times Bestselling writer of Dragonfall, Pantomime, Goldilocks, Seven Devils, False Hearts, etc. Writing coach at The Novelry.
Let's pretend I posted this like 3 weeks ago. But anyway! Emberclaw, sequel to the bestselling Dragonfall, is only 99p on Kindle for July. So if you haven't found out how Arcady & Everen's story finishes, here you go! We have weird, qu33r dragons, a university of magic, trials, yearning, etc.
Here's a friendly reminder that Micah Grey paperbacks are out in the UK Aug 13th! The new versions have been lovingly rewritten almost fifteen years later, and I'd love for more people to meet Micah Grey and step under the big top of R.H. Ragona's Circus of Magic.
Hello! Another author telling you about that there Waterstones discount. The Hopeless Romantic Guide's to Enchantment can be nabbed for 25% off using the code SUMMER26. Features a sapphic fairy tale by moi, along with stories by other excellent writers!
~*graphic design is my passion*~ Chai sez Pantomime is only $2.99 on ebook on the US side of the pond on that there Kindle for Prime. Grab it cheap and meet Micah & co and join R.H. Ragona's Circus of Magic. Inter3x lead, found family, coming of age, chimaera. 🎪
Delighted that I can use cats to promote my work again. Kopi says that Dragonfall is only 99p on Kindle for TODAY only. Can we get this weird, queer dragon book with a nonbinary lead to climb the charts this pride month? Also have some more kitten tax. We got our Bengal boys Kopi & Chai on Friday.
A fun meme? Don't mind if I do. Millennial vs. Gen Z pitches for my two fantasy series, which begin with Dragonfall & Pantomime. Out now, etc.
I posted this in late March, but realized it had an error and I was away on retreat, so it was swiftly deleted. I am very belatedly reposting and hoping to get back into my Paired Reads series, since I like highlighting what I've been reading. Do you have any favourite books on the same subjects?
I have been informed by @dawbooks & @podiumentertainment that Dragonfall is an Audible Monthly Deal for May! I think this is for all of North America, but I'm not able to see the Audible US page properly from this side of the pond. Pick it up if you fancy!
My friend made me this handy graphic to help you navigate my backlist! Which have you read, or which catches your eye? I've got epic fantasy, gaslamp fantasy, near future SF, far future SF...and hopefully many more stories to come.
I wrote this photo in book form. 5 women steal a spaceship to saving a dying, increasingly misogynist earth. The president of the USA in it is pretty Trumpian. Wrote it in 2019, came out in 2020. Predicting the pandemic was an accident.
In the states, it's Indie Bookstore Day! We love indies, and I've always been so grateful for their support of my books. Here's an extremely non-exhaustive list of a few US ones I love--who are yours? @heartleafbooks @citylightbooks @mainstbooksmonroe @mystgalaxybooks ...and so very many more!
I used to often use my cats to help promote my books, but I am sadly in between kitties (though hopefully not for long!). Luckily, ariana.victoria.w's cats have volunteered for this solemn duty. We've had Tala & Rya. Finally: Mako! Pantomime is a gaslamp fantasy w/ a magic circus & found family 🎪

It's the @transrightsreadathon! Here are the books I'm hoping to read for it, and then also the trans rep you can find in my work!
The dramatic dragon stuffie returns! Dragonfall & Emberclaw make up the complete Dragon Scales duology. A bit about this series: 📚️ Epic romantic fantasy 🐉 Dragons as gods...or are they? 🌈 A queer celebratory world ⚧️ A nonbinary lead whose physical sex is never revealed 🏴☠️ A heist 💔 Pining
A cute video by my friend Ariana, ft. a dramatic stuffy. Dragonfall & Emberclaw make up the complete Dragon Scales duology. A bit about this series: 📚️ Epic romantic fantasy 🐉 Dragons as gods 🌈 A queer celebratory world 🏴☠️ A heist 💔 Copious amounts of pining
The author / the first page / the cover. I'm posting one of the photos from the launch of OG Pantomime, back in 2013 when I was 24. Little did I know all the ups and downs of the industry to come. Little did I know I'd get another shot at releasing this book not once more, but twice more!
With Emberclaw out in paperback this month, the Dragon Scales duology that begins with Dragonfall is complete! Reaction images from my friend Arana. A bit about the books: Dragonfall & Emberclaw make up the complete Dragon Scales duology. Emberclaw is out in paperback this month! About the books:
Greetings from another soldier in the army of authors telling you about the Waterstones pre-order sale. Emberclaw's paperback wasn't in the selection, but it comes out NEXT WEEK if you'd like to grab it! Masquerade's hardcover is 25% off, or all three paperbacks when they come out in August.
For this week's paired reads, I'm highlighting two gentle, cosy sci-fi novellas. I figure we could all probably use that right about now. So take a look at Moonsoul by @nathaniel.luscombe and A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers (who always chooses absolute bangers as titles).
The fact this photo was taken 20 years ago is wild to me. Here we are in summer 2006 as teenagers. I don't often post photos of my other half on socials, but his hair is so long it basically conceals his identity. 😅
Happy to help reveal the cover for The Hopeless Romantics Guide to Enchantment, coming out from @titanbooks later this year! I have a sapphic fairy tale inspired romance in this. I'm in amazing company, with friends & authors I've long admired. Edited by @marieoregan8101 and @paul.kane.376!
I come bearing news of upcoming events this February! First up, next Saturday, the 21st, I've joined Capital Sci Fi con (@capitalscificon) here in Edinburgh at the Corn Exchange. The event is to raise money for Childrens' Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS).
In December, I went to Blackness Castle as a bit of book research, so I'm sharing a few photos! My next fantasy project is loosely inspired by the Border Wars, the Reivers, and the Wars of the Rough Wooing (so 1550s to 1650s or so).
2016 was quite a transition year, so I thought I'd look back. Career-wise, life-wise. World politics wise, too, of course. Here's a glimpse of my life 10 years ago. Gotta say, I'm tempted to dye my hair pink again after walking down memory lane. #2016trend
This week, on Paired Reads . . . Still catching up on books I read last year, we have The Tarot Reader of Versailles by my beloved @anyabergmanwriter, a historical fiction with a dash of magic set during the French Revolution, and Most Ardently, a trans retelling of P&P by @thegabecole.
