I am perhaps overly excited that my yellow snow peas are starting to come in (none are big enough to eat yet).

We have either rescued or stolen a very friendly, unfixed young boy cat. He is very charming and adorable (we will, of course, make all efforts to ensure we find his owner if he has one, we may be in the cat charming business but we are not in the cat stealing business).
Making my own damn spring inside since outside won't cooperate.

Spotted in Montreal (it's unusual for people to display both flags).
The first of my orchids starts it's winter bloom. The sensual beauty of the world, and tending to and creating beauty in my environment, has always been what carries me through the horrors. Orchids are obvious beauty but studying art expanded my ability to see beauty in less obvious places too.
Very hard to get up to go into the cold wet world with this purrito snuggling with me.
