No need to say why I quit drawing over 10 years ago. I did have technical drawing classes and loved drawing cars, machines and looney tunes characters, but that is gone too. These are the few drawings that survived. Red car was partially done in Autocad. And yeah, they are bad.
It was around this time of the year, 26 years ago, that Luke was "born". He wasn't supposed to be a all gray wolf. But when I tried to paint him, I figured I could not paint all those shades of brown, gray and beige. So gray it was. Here's the first partial drawing of him by me.
Yep. All dead. Couldn’t make one working unit out of these. Tip: never power one of these up before replacing the SMD electrolytics on the mechanism board — or you’ll fry the motor controller.

Pioneer KEH-P8200. These were expensive back in 1996. The EL backlight usually dies on these, and some people install LEDs. I like to keep them original. The polarized film on the LCD is starting to deteriorate on these radios, too. If the faceplate smells like vinegar, it's most likely dying.
This one uses a dial string that is a nightmare to replace... Complete redesign. II still shared some things from I. This one doesn't.
The original is quite different. Besides the design difference... Tone control changed quite a bit. And there was the Flamingo III.
Tape players were rather expensive in the 70s and early 80s. This setup allowed you to buy the radio and later the tape player. Hehe It's rather rare to find one of these accessory tape players today.
