My cousin joined me to work on our quads. 50/50 on if I’ll be able to walk tomorrow. #BlackSkyFitness
More flowers have arrived!! Cornflower, spotted snapweed, zinnia and a huge cosmo😍😍
This was the recipe I used and this is how mine turned out. www.carnaldish.com/recipes/baco...
I did better than expected considering it’s been years since I’ve been shooting.
I’m waiting on this one to bloom. I mixed all my seeds together so I’ll have to try to figure out what variety it is once it blooms.
Late luteal is kicking my ass physically and emotionally but I pushed through and hit 370lb on the leg press🙌🏽
Since it's Tuesday, time to post some titties! Just kidding, but here are some tomatoes😆 and a purple pepper.
Update: They did grow! I didn't do a great job with the distribution but so far 2 things (alyssum and cosmos) have bloomed and more are coming🥰
I also found out that the hummingbirds absolutely love this Cardinal flower. There were two fighting over it this morning.
Book 38: I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman. A short, strange book. What really makes you a human? Is it your shared experiences with other humans? This book left me feeling a little frustrated but I think that was the point.
I’ve been using my blueberries and making fun drinks. Last night a wild berry vodka tonic with frozen blueberries. This afternoon I roasted some blueberries with honey to make a syrup then used it to make a blueberry matcha.
Workout complete, PR achieved, CAVA procured. I’ll be in the house the rest of the day.
One thing that’s been helping my plants through this heat is I put these terracotta spikes that I can insert bottles of water (I use wine bottles) into to slowly drip water into the soil as it dries out and the plants get thirsty.
I also was out early enough to catch the mfers that’s been eating my peppers. IDK what kind of bug this is but I need an organic solution to get rid of them.
Watered the garden and did a little harvest before the worst of the heat sets in. (Details in alt text).
Book 37: Sky Full of Elephants by Cebo Campbell. WOW. Absolutely loved this book.
Checked on the garden, there's lots of work to do but no major catastrophes. The bugs are still on a rampage and I need to prune the tomatoes, most have little tomatoes but some plants are looking sick and I may remove them.
Book 36: The Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst. A super cute and cozy book about magic and love. The second in the series, the 3rd one comes out next month and I’m ready!
Book 35: Where the Wildflowers Grow by Terah Shelton Harris. Loved this book about love and loss and finding yourself.
