My son is keeping watch while I deal with my headache.
Welp. No wonder I’ve lost my voice now.
Currently trying (and failing) to figure out how my Paizo computer monitors were packed originally so I can get them safely into their boxes for return. My assistant is eager but not actually helping. 😅
Really, Xfinity? An outage? There's not even bad weather today. *cries in freelancer on a deadline*
Just wrapped our last Paizo Edit meeting with the full team. I'm in my emotions. Gods, I love this crew. Giles even came to say goodbye to everyone with me. The good boy knows I'm sad, so he's sticking close to me.
Tough day during a tough week. But look at this handsome boy! He loves me, and I'm holding onto that. And you know what? Giles loves you too. 💜
By law, Indiana caps unemployment benefits at $390 / week. I just found out that COBRA will cost me $1,526.05 / month to cover both me + spouse. And then there’s rent, meds, utilities, food … Definitely looks like crowdfunding will need to happen while I continue the job search. 😣
He finally realized I have the window open.

Oh, to be a cat contentedly relaxing in a sunbeam.
Pressure changes have me feeling like I don’t know which way is up. And apparently, I’m not the only one feeling the effects of today’s weather. Spouse, who is in Chicago, sent me an update this morning that made me laugh.
Today in "sun's out, tum's out": a Giles blep!
Tornado activity knocked out power. Internet is slow, when it works at all, but let's see if this posts successfully. We're still sheltering a bit longer to be safe. Giles tucked himself into the sink.
*slaps side of box* This big boi can fit so many adventures in it! Excited to finally have my hands on Pathfinder Quest! I was its Editing Lead. Working on such a complex project taught me a ton about board games. Having it arrive now—as I celebrate my third year at Paizo—makes it even sweeter.
Laughing so hard at this review for my book title generator. It’s exactly the silliness I had in mind when I added “deadly” and “pickles” as table entries. 😅 Thank you so much, @vorpalcoil.bsky.social! I really needed this today.
Today, the governor of my state had the audacity to declare June "nuclear family month" in a coded proclamation saying "Take back the rainbow!" But no matter what he says, June is still #PrideMonth! 🏳️🌈 The Power of Pride bundle includes "Elsewhere," my fic about current events and not looking away.
A distinguished gentleman lost in thought.
Oh, hey! I have something in the Review Something TTRPG bundle! #TableJam26 inspired me to make Bookfinder: A Compendium of Title Generators for Myriad Genres—for when your players unexpectedly decide their characters want to browse a random shop or library, or when you need a tome for a loot drop.
Tonight, for the first time since OCTOBER, I am actually in my bedroom and in a real bed! I used the long holiday weekend to finish cleaning the walls of as much bedbug residue as possible, then set up a new mattress. I think Giles is as happy as I am. Look at my boy. 🥰
Just got back from today's medical appointment and Giles has opinions about my daring to be gone for two hours. He was actually waiting at the door for me this time. 💙😭
Giles reading over my shoulder as I relax on my day off.
TFW Mom thinks you want pets but you're actually trying to tell her you want your favorite toy.
Unbothered. Moisturized. Happy. In his lane. Focused. Flourishing.
Giles apparently has opinions about how I rearranged my shelves.
When you’re trying to do a little work on your WIP cat board game but the cat who inspired it decides he wants cuddles.
We're under a tornado watch now in my part of Indiana. I was moving stuff into the interior bathroom in case we need to take shelter (backup battery, etc) and a very concerned Giles had to investigate the bathtub.
Ah, to be a kitty in a sunbeam and rainbows.
Massive THANK YOU to the kind, generous (and anonymous) soul who sent me three bags of MCAS-safe coffee from my Throne wishlist! It arrived today, a full day earlier than tracking told me to expect it.
Guardian Giles keeping watch.
