On August 13, 2026, the Trump-appointed Kennedy Center board voted to put Trump’s name back on. The board also approved a full shutdown for two years. Trump’s name was removed out-of-sight under a tarp after midnight on June 13, 2026. The tarp has been covering Trump’s missing name since then.
Vote Blue in the mid-terms. Democrat candidates are a diverse coalition — fresh, younger, inclusive, above-average humans. Our job is to take power away from MAGA and Republican Party. Rebel Artist for Science says, “We can make it a Blue Wave in November. Vote Blue!”
4,755 soldiers currently occupy DC. They have been in the District since August, 2025. They march in groups of four. On the National Mall and in the Metro. Not friendly. Not helpful. The National Guard troops are a military occupation force of DC. Not in DC to keep us safe.
Stop! Say No! Blanche is unfit for Attorney General. He is corrupt. Undermines the rule of law. Abused investigative and prosecutorial powers for political retribution. Orchestrated a slush fund to compensate Jan. 6 rioters. Withheld Jeffrey Epstein files. Blanche is unfit for Attorney General.
Soft light and amber hues. Agglomeration of art objects the opposite of fussy. My favorite Old Town Alexandria 3rd Wave café. Where the ambience is so-fine and the coffee is pretty good, too. ESP Tea and Coffee 1012 King St, Alexandria, VA #BestCafeInTown #OldTownAlexandria #freshroastedcoffee
I'm entranced by the curious mechanisms of evolution and variation in our genomes. The artwork in the video is titled “Synesthesia — Mutation Rhapsody.” The artwork in the video is available from my online store: fellmanstudio.com/product/temp...
I visited The Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Reading Room. It was free and open to the public in D.C. for six days in June, 2026. Fat books holding 3.5 million emails. Fifteen-foot Trump-Epstein timeline. A wall of angry-grief-stricken notes, handwritten by over 5,000 visitors.
The Kennedy Center saga continues. His name is down, but the facade is shrouded. Under a veil. Concealed and hidden. A coverup and a crime. Follow @jimacosta.bsky.social @drybrarian.bsky.social for updates.
Take his name down now! YES, and, demand the Kennedy Center board fund the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) and musicians. I stand with “Hands Off The Arts” protest group.
June 9th, 2026 and still waiting for “de-naming” of the Kennedy Center. Meanwhile, protests continue. Thank you, brave and bold humans for being vigilant. I stand with you.
"We demand the Kennedy Center stay open, with any renovations overseen by true experts. We demand the appointment of competent arts leadership. Reinstate all unjustly fired workers. And take off his name!" — Christopher George, Hands Off The Arts coalition
Scientific innovation is everywhere. 🧪 Take the soccer-ball-like shape of a geodesic dome — you find that curious structure in the oddest places. I found myself inside a humongous one once. Expo 67 World’s Fair. I was a little kid and was convinced I had walked into the future.
“Let’em hear you at the fucking White House,” Bruce yelled; we roared, ”Hell ya.” “Our constitution, our rule of law are being challenged RIGHT NOW as never before by a reckless, racist, incompetent president and the ship of fools in his administration."
What are we making today? Artists, poets, dancers, singers, authors — we the makers fight for democracy. Art is political. Science is political. When you make, be bold, make it fierce. Stand up for science. We do our part to save democracy. 🧪
Brave people at the National Science Foundation, are you okay? We know that you — scientists and staff — were kicked out of your building last year. I found their new location. A dull looking place with a hostile guard at the door who told me to get lost.
Protesters in Boulder, Colorado are defending the US National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). The scientists track weather for agriculture, flood and fire risk, aviation safety. The fascist Trump Regime is destroying NCAR.
Happy Mothers' Day everyone. Did you know that Mothers’ Day was not designed to encourage people to be nice to their mothers? It was part of women’s effort to gain power to change society. Heather Cox Richardson explains:
What version of yourself is the most playful? What does Rosa x hybrida whisper to those who listen?
Wayzata High School Science Bowl team — go-go-go! It’s a big day for five Minnesota science students. They’re in Washington D.C. with their teacher, Amanda Laden, for the National Science Bowl.
Simon Rosenberg @simonwdc.bsky.social @hopiumchronicles.bsky.social Hopium Chronicles says when we (Democrats) win — CELEBRATE! I’m celebrating Gov. Abigail Spanberger's @abigailspanberger.com accomplishments on her 100th day in office. Legislation that’s signed and done includes:
White picket fence in front of a red brick house along a red brick sidewalk and, yes, I could smell the 🌹 💐. A spring day in Old Town Alexandria, April, 2026. #Virginia
Hey, Virginia it’s the last day to vote YES. Polls open until 7:00 PM — April 21st. My YES vote in Virginia matters for Minnesota — and nationally. Here’s why: Trump actively encouraged Republican-controlled states to redraw congressional maps to favor the GOP before the midterms. #Virginia
Time out for some serenity. In the entryway to the Wendt Laboratory Building at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory on Long Island, New York. In a deep recess infused with natural light is an ethereal work of sculptural glass.
Virginians — vote YES on redistricting by April 21st! The MAGA dark money group “Virginians for Fair Maps” shoveled another $9 million of last minute, untraceable cash into defeating Virginia’s redistricting referendum. VOTE Yes on redistricting! #VoteVirginia #Democrats #VoteBlue #VirginiaVoteYes
Virginians vote YES on our redistricting referendum. Vote today! And vote YES. Red-state legislatures have gerrymandered their maps to give Republicans an unfair advantage.
Thank you, Wisconsin! So proud of the hardworking democrats! Wisconsin now has a 5-2 liberal majority on the Wisconsin Supreme court. And they happen to be all women: Janet Claire Protasiewicz, Rebecca Frank Dallet, Jill Judith Karofsky, Christine Lyn Taylor, Susan M. Crawford.
Virginians get out and vote YES on our redistricting referendum. Grogu says do it now. And VOTE YES!
Hey humans. Are you ready to see the Dark Side of the Moon? Will the Artemis ii crew be singing it on the fly-by?

Dr. Stephen Volz, former NOAA scientist spoke at the Stand Up for Science rally in D.C. He gave a powerful talk “The great silencing of American science.”
