A black-and-white print-and-fold guide layout titled "How to Apply to a... Zine Fest" by M. Riot provides a succinct eight-step process. The top four panels are oriented upside down for folding purposes and include steps on finding fests, verifying eligibility, reading applications carefully, and gathering materials. The bottom row of panels guides applicants through the submission process, urging them to review before submitting and offering advice on waiting patiently. The zine utilizes vintage illustrations and varied decorative borders to distinguish each informational section.

bay area queer zine fest is a MASKS REQUIRED event that is both virtual and in person! i’ll be tabling at both events — woo hoo! the in person event is on 9/14 from 11-5 at the oakland asian cultural center. the event is FREE! i will have a variety of zines, all sliding scale!

The Unhoused Response Group continue their support of Susie’s family and to see she has a proper memorial service. Any and all support will go to the following:

1) Money to keep her son (and his gf) in a hotel for a week and fed
2) Money to help them fix their car ($125)
3) Clothes and toiletries for a week (he seems to be a S/M and she’s a L/XL. They definitely need clothes for a farewell ceremony.
4) Money for a small memorial service (likely cremations/ashes at sea)

i received $45 in donations towards water distribution! today i ordered two flats of water, chewy bars, and a flat of vitamin water. the rest of the donations will go to ice, gas money, and misc items. if you prefer, you can also purchase items from my amazon wishlist or DM me for my venmo!

RIP RWC ZINE LIBRARY!! The zine library now lives full time at Yard Coffee in RWC. I hope community members continue to maintain it ❤️ Our last event is our summer Zine Picnic on August 9th at Stulsaft Park in Redwood City from 11-2. As always, it is a masks required event!
