I use a pizza stone, pre-warmed in the oven to 500 degrees and buy the rising dough from the Italian deli down the street. I have not yet reached my limits.

This morning, I rode the Metro in Valencia, Spain. Less than 10% of passengers were looking at cell phones. At least 50% were reading books. A handful of art students were sketching. The rest were sitting quietly, casually watching as passengers moved on and off. Imagine that.

Today I (mostly) ignored the awfulness and soaked in my appreciation for a truly beautiful fall day.
Hegseth announces that the US military should unleash overwhelming & punishing violence with “no stupid rules of engagement.” Trump announces that the military will be deployed to “quell civil disturbances” in the “war” against cities such as SF, LA, NYC & Chicago”. 🤢🤮
Beautiful things still abound. Find some peace in them. My garden carries on. 🌹☮️
