the U.S. Geological Survey said that aftershocks of Wednesday's earthquakes in Venezuela are expected to continue. According to the latest USGS forecast, there is a 6% chance of an aftershock larger than 6.0 in the days after the main quake. There have been tremors every day above 4.3 in magnitude.
One sign of the high death toll is visible in the satellite imagery over a parking lot area behind the hospital where a large white area appeared after the earthquake. Graphic videos and photos confirm this.
