Just came back from the Odyssey. The 1968 space version remains my favorite.
Alien, a 3 months kitten, sitting on my lap while I play Johann Sebastian Bach's Goldberg variations aria, BWV 988, in 2017. Alien is now 9 years old.
Don't ask ChatGPT about baroque music. It thinks BWV 817 is in C minor rather than E major, and recommends a recording by Pierre Hantaï, who is one of my favorites, but unfortunately hasn't recorded it yet. It's been a while since I saw so many hallucinations in just a few prompts.
Using Home assistant with Google AI backend. My name is not Dave. In case anyone still had doubts about LLM copyright issues. I have had longer conversations from the movie with it, but the LLM randomization makes it not 100% reproducible. Nevertheless, whole sentences still remain.
Here is June daily kWh my Carrier heat pump used for cooling. It has 6 zones, about 3000 sq ft out of my 4600sq ft California home. Most of the time, only 1 to 3 zones are active. One has very large south facing bay windows. HP has only used 158 kWh for cooling since 2/20 install. 194 kWh heating.
Natural gas use for March-May 2025 vs 2026 was divided by 3. And we were away for most of April/May 2025, but home for March-May 2026 ! What changed ? Our main furnace was switched to heat pump 2/211/2026. Main water heater switched to HPWH on 5/7/2026. 1 furnace + 1 WH remain gas. Big house.
This is what bipolar does. Resmed is so cheap that only keep 30 days of CPAP data. A home assistant integration can now store the data indefinitely.
Atom C124 micro controller, RS-485 base, connected to Rheem Proterra 80 gallon heat pump water heater. Using econet-esphome.
I take it your photo wasn't taken with a phone. DSLR ? Here is my all-time favorite photo, taken with my Pentax K-1 II.
