Today for you #Monday #outback

The main buddleia outback which has so far been marvellous growing up and spreading out those blooms for the many butterflies and bees - it has withstood all the storms and winds and rains now the hot sun -the roots must be strong down there. 🧤

This is a climbing rose and thought wouldn’t see anymore blooms as so hot - but here we are in the background the blue roof of the kennel and all the greenery x

The lavender has been re potted and receiving lots of nurture! This little plant (petunia?) is very much enjoying the assignment to gnome’s pot and he is always smiling and happy 🌟far right is the watering can pot either the very prolific herb Robert 🌟

The giant bumble bee 🐝 who lives at the bottom of the work bench and climbing hydrangea Greets me every time I go #outback #Tuesday

The bee is centre and then situated between blooms against one of the green leaves. The green water trough and gnome numero three are to be found at the bottom of all the foliage 🧤

Tomato 🍅 plant #Monday #Outback

A PoV shot from the top of this sprawling tomato grown firstly inside and called Bill - I accidentally knocked the top of him but despite this once outback Bill just grew - and grew. My grandad and my dad tried to teach me which bits to pluck out but I never got the hang of it - the other one (Ben of course) is equally sprawling over on the work bench. I know 🍅x

So glad I put a proper bird bath by the hedge up top #outfront All the birds love it 💦

The birdbath is green on a small pedestal and is bottom lhs - the buddleia is near to and the second largest outfront - if you look at the bottom rhs you will see one of the sparrows too 🌟🧤

There’s a few things Sharing this pot and earlier it hosted three beautiful poppies - there’s honeysuckle and I think if it makes it a delphinium 🌟but plantain has rather taken a hold too 🧤

Centre stage and up top of the wildlife patch the solar birdbath topped up and behind the buddleia shrub the biggest birdbath in the hedge and which all the birds enjoy at the far back rhs the giant Willow across the way 🧤

I don’t mind as the patch is all for them anyway - through the leaves you can see one of the buddleia shrubs and right in the background the horsechestnut tree 🧤

Was not expecting this giant by the bench and growing out of the strawb pot and the climbing rose too / it’s also home to the clematis and periwinkle 🧤everything going mad now 🧤in the background to the left is dad’s old work bench and the pink is the geraniums whilst further back one of the two tomato plants now thriving - the other one over the other side is also doing well - 🧤

I keep going a little bit further each time so I walked past the cup stone for another ten minutes - it was just me and the wild - the sheep I passed as I climbed up to the top but once you’re up there 👆It’s magic and the trail has been used for centuries too. It’s a real connection between you the land and nature 🧤

Butterflies #outback #Wednesday

The brave buddleia outback called that because it had to grow up from a foot or so high in all weathers - the wind is strong in all directions and it really has had to fight to get to where it is - and last year it was struck by pests - so yes it’s my fighter tree a reminder of what we have to do to show our potential - keep growing and keep going strong 🦾and if you look on the nearest bloom the butterfly is there. Perfect. 🦋

Lots of plantain this year and the lovely pink wildflowers too lots of little hover flies around them - a couple of butterflies spotted - and just in the background centre to the rhs some of those glorious masquerade roses 🧤it was cool enough to go round the patch this morning 🧤

Presenting the Three hollyhocks #outback #thursday

They are in full sun and up against the wall too - grown from seeds (free from my local library) I do hope they grow up and up!! They are a childhood favourite of mine dad always grew them - to the rhs the hebe I rescued from outfront is doing really well there and to the lhs I have more troughs housing lavenders thyme and honeysuckle 🧤
