24 years ago today I married this guy on the lawn of our home on the Kaweah River. My son Aleks, along with his Katie Dog, was the "Ring Bear". When David Graber and I asked if he would be our ring bearer, he thought we were asking him to be a bear, so he practiced being a bear.
My black Labs (mother Luxie and daughter Molly), Golden Retriever Riley (with Molly), and cats BugJuice and Copper. Love them to bits!

Bear 399 was killed in an auto accident in Snake River Canyon on October 22, 2022. She was the oldest known breeding brown bear in the Yellowstone ecosystem. It was assessed as an accident. Her death was mourned around the world.
