Had fun watching the Leeds Pride parade today. JK Rowling might have her band of cronies but there will always be way more of us than there are of them. Big up to the giant ear! #LeedsPride
Marriage remains intact as husband did an excellent job of watering while I was away. We have ripening tomatoes, more cucumbers, nasturtiums are out and OMFG we legit have a melon 😭😭😭
Health librarian conference was excellent but here's all the desserts I ate! 😂
Day 2 of the International Congress of Medical Librarianship and I am mostly dreaming of this tiramisu from yesterday.
Officially I am in Glasgow for a conference. Unofficially I am here to see the Scottie Dogs!
Anyway, Jinkx Monsoon was great fun! And the sunset on the walk back to the train station was lovely, just like the company.
Really enjoyed the Ai Wei Wei exhibition at Factory International today. The scale of some of the artwork is really impressive.
Pansy Division were so much fun last night! I don't think they've toured the UK since 1998 so I felt very lucky to see them.
My first harvest! Ridiculously proud because I've never grown anything before and I started everything from seed 🥒🥒🥒 fells right that these are Diva Cucumbers 😂😂😂
Robyn went HARD last night. I keep thinking about the show. How it was fairly minimalist but every song felt different. How it all hinged on Robyn carrying everything because she was almost alone onstage and yet, of course she held your focus completely. A star.
Saw Beverley Knight last night. It's such an obvious thing to say but her voice is INSANE! What a woman!
Also, I was worried that the spot I planted my fig tree in was too shady but it's grown four huge leaves since the start of May!
Always lovely seeing butterflies in the garden! Melon and cucumber flowers are lovely, petunias gonna petunia and I found borage!
Every so often I get totally obsessed with the pictures of him and Grace Jones.
External meeting at the Thackray Medical Museum meant that I got to have a peak at their temporary exhibition which included some strangely beautiful anatomical drawings. Also featured info on how Anne Lister found her clitoris!
I'd not seen this before but Google Scholar parsed a lunch menu and the author list is amazing.
Seems like the office plant has multiplied. I am now the proud owner of Pierre.
