Mr. President, sir, to strengthen the resilient economy in the face of your tariffs and war against Iran, you must fire the Fed Chair because he has not lowered rates fast enough.
Incredible back-handed compliment in the NYT review of Nicolas Winding Refn’s new film. Sad (but probably fair) that there was no mention of Too Old to Die Young though.
You may say that trump is a moron who doesn’t know what tariffs are, but the underlying policy logic is to facilitate the growth of Canada’s domestic rake market, so they’ll finally have the tools to clean up the fallen leaves in their forests.
Who knew you could fly direct from Thessaloniki to Memmingen?
This quote in a NYT article likening the uncontroversial and easily explainable phenomenon in which office buildings tend to be overly air-conditioned in the summer to Havana syndrome cracked me up.
There’s no chance this story doesn’t get more stupid as more information comes out
On the other hand, I’m not sure about Wallace-Wells’ characterization here (though it’s a funny way to call Stoller a trump supporter).
Cenk appears to have already forgotten that trump and Vance started their war against Iran with Israel lol
Why did trump lose his war against Iran? Because he became too woke.
RIP. The NYT should keep metrics on those who outlive the writers of their obituaries. Also, I had forgotten that Gordon Wood was the set up to the Howard Zinn punchline in the how you like them apples scene in Good Will Hunting.
The outcome of the situation trump put us in is too catastrophic to happen and therefore none of what is currently happening matters. Ok.
Waiting for the next article in this series to learn how many points per 100 possessions the Salesian Sisters are scoring on Moss post ups.
Sorry, everyone. I saw the Maine Mentioned meme two years ago and thought it was funny, thereby cursing us to this seemingly endless discourse.
Here, we have a piece on the single defining feature of trump for his entire life, on May 30, 2026 at page A12.
Credit where credit is due, “before conversation turned to the Antichrist” is a fantastic temporal clause.
Trump also would have agreed to end the illegal war against Iran that he started for no reason on Wednesday, before the countries exchanged another round of missile strikes.
It’s good that this is article is being written now, but it remains a fundamental failure of both the media’s coverage in 2024 and the American electorate’s ability to engage in basic reasoning that people did not grasp a second trump term would be entirely unpopular (not to mention bad) ideas.
Which is strange, because it actually includes a picture of him wearing the Clarkson shirt. Bring back the public editor!
