As a data nerd struggling with how to use those skills responsibly, I knew @chadtopaz.bsky.social's new book was something I needed. I was not prepared for how FUN it is while being so informative!

Someday I will think twice before using special floss in an embroidery project. Today is not that day.

I believe that AI "enhancement" has hit my voicemail transcription, and the results are... less than helpful.

Voicemail transcription: This is a Down Virgin message from this canses reading over fixation and thurs day Tonight order look of fire keeps to expective a dangers."

It's actually a message that starts exactly the same as the next image (This is a nonemergency message from the Northeast Kansas...") for a burn ban the next two days from the local fire chief, due to increased fire danger.

Voicemail transcript: This is a non-emergency message for the Northeast Kansas Regional notification system today, January 23rd, 2026 open burning in the unincorporated areas of Douglas County is not allowed.

Got my order from @mostlybree.kitrocha.com and it definitely made me smile! Whistles for my family, coffee clicker for me, other clicker for my wife.

No dog currently and no pictures of him in the snow, but I will always remember the time he puffed up from the groomer's blow dryer and looked more polar bear than poodle. He loved running around in the snow!
