Hall of Egress was a gorgeous masterpiece of writing, crammed and condensed into 11 minutes (masterfully so), but I think it could've benefited from a two-parter treatment.

Episode two would end in the same way as the normal episode did with his escape, but perhaps this time there's an extended callback to something PB said earlier, or a more substantial Cornucopia Poem.

In episode two, Jake tries to follow him, but Finn evades him (removing his clothes and expanding on the "bread crumb style" motif), and they expand on the theme of overcoming your old life to embrace who you need to become in order to pass through trials in life, and especially your adolescence.

Finn and Jake head out to the dungeon, Finn is trapped, escapes the dungeon with his eyes closed, and falls into a loop of Jake forcing his eyes open. The first episode ends with Finn blindly running away from home to walk endlessly, in search of "something different".

I think Egress should've been a two part episode, and episode one should've begun with a scene with Finn and Peebles hanging out and talking about the concept of growing up, during which the word "egress" is brought up by Finn and explained my PB.
