This is my soundscape this morning. The trouble is, whenever I play it, I'm taken back to a car journey in the mountains in Norway, on the way to Stryn. The fragile bleak beauty of the music matched the landscape in a way that stopped all conversation. I am similarly distracted today.

Been to the playback of In a Glass House in London. What a lovely evening! The album sounded fab, lovely venue, great to see old friends and Derek thought my question was good 😊

Glad midsommar / Happy midsummer! Today, Friday, is midsommarafton (Midsummer's Eve) the biggest Swedish festival/holiday apart from Christmas. I took this photo in May on my trip to Öland - a long, narrow island just off the southeast coast of Sweden flic.kr/p/2sjAJhG

Was in the Crafty Baa last Sunday and sampled some of their Oktoberfest beers. Cool place.

Visited The Lamb in Lambs Conduit Street, today. Probably not been there since I worked in Holborn, many years ago. Glad to say it's much the same, including the snob screens (I think they're called)

Two very nice British examples of Baltic Porter, this weekend: Friday was Braybrooke at 8.5 % ABV while Saturdaysawl Lost and Grounded's Running With Spectres at 6.5. Both lovely
