UPDATE :As the person who asked the question

The answer is like the same response one who would get asking my HR manager

I spoke to an ex- colleague earlier today who told me how operation has slowed down significantly and they are now stuck in a cycle of useless meetings that do not result in faster turnover

My opinion is that the “political game” is just a fancy way for people who lack technical skills to go under the radar and turn the office into a ‘cultural’ site where relationships matter more than work

Which maybe is the point of the post, that’s what office work is, but it’s a huge issue for those of us who grew past 13 yrs old mentally
