who denied the co-eternity and equality of the Son with the Father. His views were condemned at the Council of Nicaea in 325, but it took two generations before the dogmatic formula won out that God was one in nature, essence, or being, and three in persons, or hypostases.

The dogmatic agreement prompted an explicit consideration of how believers could deepen their participation in the life of the Trinity. The cornerstone of Christian anthropology was taken from Genesis 1:26 where God says (in the plural!), "Let us make man in our image and after our likeness." Christians read this as a declaration that hu-mans were created not just in the image of God (imago dei), but also specifically as the image of the Trinity (imago trinitatis). In this sense all Christian mysticism is trinitarian, at least by implication. Many Christian mystics, however, have been explicitly trinitarian in the sense that they have made the inner relations of the three persons a focus of their teaching about how we attain consciousness of God. Even though no created intellect can ever understand how three distinct persons are one God, the mystics have insisted that what cannot be understood can nevertheless in some way become present in the depths of consciousness.

I've generally been enjoying this book but I think I may have just stumbled across what may be a critical failure. The comparison here insists that sex exists in the exact same way for every person as a biological constant even though this is plainly false.

The brain is not exactly 'hardware' that is determined and shared by every individual belonging to the species of Homo sapiens: the anatomy of the brain can be modified during an individual lifetime, and affected by social components, which means that neuroplasticity is a factor of major importance for every student of past human societies. 167 On the other hand, culture is not entirely 'software': gender is cultural, but it is ultimately a reaction to the principle of sexual reproduction; feasting customs are cultural, but the need for nutrition is biologically determined, etc.

In their study, Kuceyeski and her colleagues set out to investigate sex-linked variation in brain development by analysing functional magnetic resonance imaging brain data from 1,286 people, half of whom were male and half female. The scans captured a snapshot of each individual's brain age, but did not follow the same people throughout their lives. The analysis was based on sex at birth because the researchers didn't have data on the participants' gender identities.

I've heard a lot of people talk about The Parable of the Sower but none of them mentioned the casual transphobia in the book that this guy keeps doing even though it could get him killed.

So LGBTIQ+ Health Australia is doing/promoting a survey and the first thing every trans woman I've shown this to has pointed out that they're asking chasers to speak for trans women.

Count us in survey criteria about the 2026 Australian Census about the new sex at birth questions on the Census. The criteria to take part on the survey include any LGBTQ+ person, parents or carers of LGBTQ+ people, or anyone who's had sex with a trans/nb person, or with someone of the same gender.
