Yesterday’s run was in wild wind & rain but it’s lovely today. A bit behind schedule on the 100km in Aug challenge but I’m confident I can catch up. My body is coping but my Apple Watch strap isn’t!! Always a pleasure to run at home 😍
Wisps of mist on this morning’s #dailymile - lovely start to the day! I’ve set myself a challenge of running 100km over August - a stretch for me but hopefully do-able.
Hot & sunny #dailymile in Edinburgh this morning. Poppies at the parliament & thistles at the crags. Lovely!
A great pleasure of running a #dailymile is the connection with nature. The seasons keep changing. Spring rolls into summer, autumn into winter. Now it’s high summer. At home, the heady scent of honeysuckle. Thistles, leopard print foxgloves, wild roses & orchids. Beautiful!
Who cares about Spain vs France - the big game tonight is Brora vs Aberdeen! And the pies were fab! 😉
A longer run this Sunday in hot sunny weather. Loch Achall sparkling & a cracking view of Beinn Ghobhlach as we turned back. Lovely! #DailyMile

Lovely evening marking 200 years of Scotland’s oldest pharmacy - Lindsay & Gilmour on Elm Row. From the traditional druggists & apothecaries, to manufacturing & wholesaling & now community pharmacies. A chance for me to celebrate my profession & catch up with old friends.
A different kind of #DailyMile today - great company from Ramblers Scotland & the Holyrood Park Ranger service. Our Walk in the park was fabulous - connecting with geology, nature, wildlife, history & getting some exercise in too. Powerful medicine!
Cooler #dailymile this morning in Edinburgh. You can see the fire damage but thankfully it’s no longer smouldering.
Cool & breezy #dailymile. Some parts of the UK might be experiencing a heatwave but it certainly hasn’t hit the North West Highlands!

Very lovely ‘Big Brew’ in Ullapool celebrating the 20th anniversary of it being a Fairtrade village. Gorgeous food & lots of laughs with old friends. Wild weather so definitely the best place to be!
