#Kulineria: Operating out of a motorcycle, Pak Iwan’s pork #Siomay is humble at the surface and delicious upon taste. A squeeze of calamondin gives the peanut, chilli, and sweet sauce combination an added freshness. I don’t know if he is in the same spot in #Glodok each day, though. #NoPorkNoGlory

Made my first #Kopitiam half-boiled egg for breakfast. It didn’t look particularly pleasing, but the texture and taste was on-point. Before people have a go at me for waiting this long to give it a try, pictured is how I typically do eggs. I rarely crave other t-eggs-tures. Today, I did. #Food

Ini adalah Kuil #SriGanapathy di #BatuCaves. Di atas kedua patung adalah simbol yang digunakan dalam #Hinduisme, #Jainisme, dan #Buddhisme. Sayangnya, swastika sempat disalahgunakan sekitar 80 tahun lalu sama orang-orang bule. Jika digunakan dengan benar, seharusnya tampilannya seperti ini.

My journaling supplies for 2025, which reflect my commitment to use and patronise #Asian brands. (Featured here are products by #Midori, #PLEPIC, and locally-crafted notebooks.) I still haven’t set up my bullet journal spreads, but my deadline is just like that of my vision board: in six days.

I signed up for #Xiaohongshu yesterday, and I am impressed by how much better the visual content is compared to #Instagram. I may use it for my journaling hobby. For those who wish to add me, my handle is on the bottom-right of the image. It is the same handle I use for #Bluesky and #Twitter.

Surgeonfish taco, with flour tortilla, honey-sriracha glaze, slaw, coriander cream, peach, guacamole, and a squeeze of lime. I had a notion the peppers would be like the pickled green chillies one finds in Chinese restaurants around Jakarta. I was surprised it tasted ginger-y, not spicy. #Food

This is grilled octopus tentacle with butter sauce, served with pearl couscous, baba ghanoush, and tomato salsa. It was the main of a recent five-course meal. Not going to lie: it was expensive, considering the location. But the service was nice, and based on that, it was a fun dinner. #Food
