Two papers from @abstractionerc.bsky.social accepted at #ESLP2026 in Lancaster 🎉 One on whether AI categorises the world like humans. The other on how children and LLMs learn to climb lexical hierarchies (electric bicycle→ bicycle→ vehicle). Takeaway? Abstraction is hard. For humans and AI alike.
