Should I tell someone they smell?

Yes, almost certainly - it's the right thing to do, as long as you do it kindly. "If it is at work, try to do it towards the end of the day," says Elaine Swann, author of Elaine Swann's Book of Modern Etiquette. That way they won't spend all day feeling sweaty and paranoid. "Make sure you tell them privately, and give them a way out by saying: 'I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but you have an odour that is very prevalent."

Today my dad and I took part in the London Legal Walk, which he helped establish in 2005. Over 10,000 walkers walked 10km to raise money for free legal advice for people living in poverty. He is 88 and I have Long Covid so we are both feeling a sense of achievement (and some aching limbs)!

Heading home after an incredible Cannes. Thrilled for my amazing friend Maria, critics divided (loved a review that said ‘I absolutely loved it but the guy next to me hated it so much I thought he was going to kill the whole cast’). Here I am in front my my great-great-uncle and aunt’s café in Antibes! Sadly, after almost 100 years, the café has changed its name from Felix, but is otherwise almost unchanged according to my mother. So lovely to make the connection.

Got these beautiful small dishes from @saskiadanielceramics.com, a bargain at a tenner each. You could use them for so many things but ours are perfect candle bases.

My friend, the amazing Maria Martinez Bayona, has had her debut feature THE END OF IT starring Rebecca Hall, Gael Garcia Bernal, Noomi Rapace, Beanie Feldstein, and, very briefly, me, officially selected to premiere at Cannes! The only other debut in the category is by John Travolta! I am so proud!!
