Bizarrely, there is no Google Streetview at that end of Kingsway, but this would be the only way to get into the tunnel the wrong way from the north... (without having gone the wrong way on the wrong side of the road for quite a bit of Kingsway...)
It's the Strand Underpass, one way north from Waterloo Bridge to Kingsway, following the line of Aldwych. The Waymo car is facing south, meaning it has gone the wrong way down the whole one-lane, one-way tunnel... Incredibly hard to get into from the north...
It's a real 'Rear Window' night... As dusk falls, people come home from their days out, lights go on in the flats across the courtyard...
