Taking the kids soccer fandom from the World Cup into the real world.
They made up and went and watched Godzilla at the movie theater.
The Space Marines and Tyranids are in the service industry so they all share a walk-up apartment.
Now the Space Marines are running a diner with the Tyranids.
My six year old said he wanted to play Battletech, then insisted on using the 28mm buildings and we ended up pretending the mechs were going to see Spiderman at the movie theater.
Heller having a shephardization warning is funny. Completely useless.
I painted some battletech terrain and scratch built a 15mm scale model of a townhouse.
I did see them supporting an arrest recently, which is very bad.
Civil War reenactors for the anniversary of the Battle of Fort Stevens.
Here is what the NC supreme court said in 1843, when gun carry was much more common because of tech developments making pistols more reliable.
My article got cited today by a 7th Circuit decision upholding Illinois's assault weapon prohibition. The Court used it to reject the argument that modern mass shootings aren't a new issue rather than accepting the analogy directly, but still pretty cool.
The U.S.A. Eagles win against Portugal puts them right at the edge of Tier 1 (although still obviously a step down), next to borderline countries like Georgia and Japan.
USA win 30-29 on a 77th minute Penalty. A huge win on the 4th of July for the USA Eagles against a very good tier 2 team.
My family and I went to Gettysburg for the first time earlier this year and you really can't stand on Cemetery Ridge and continue thinking that Lee was a genius. It's so far in the complete open against a dug in opponent with loads of artillery.
I saw this exhibit and thought "wow this athlete was really generous because they gave up all their medals!" I was extremely wrong. This is only 16 of 55. Trischa Zorn-Hudson won 41 Gold Medals! She had multiple Paralympics with double digit gold medals.
My 6 year old (and my wife) made the UFL team helmets out of Perler beads. It's perhaps a phrase written and action done for the first time in human history.
I painted some Battletech Ghost Bear Elementals and a Nova.
It's happening again! I thought about strategically voting for Friedson, but met him in front of my voting location and was so put off that I voted for Glass (who I preferred). It'd be very funny if my one vote was decisive.
