rest in peace, nat0rii, an incredibly talented & kind person who was a great artist and a delight to work with. I am forever grateful that she was willing to lend her talents to the channel. Please give her portfolio a look if you liked the thumbnails she drew for my channel:
i really hate terms like “overrated” so take that with a grain of salt - this was fun tho
mario galaxy movie this. zelda movie that. real ones are still waiting for peak to drop 🤫
unfortunately i am also a sucker that sees my beloved fox and is in no matter what i think there’s a lot of room to do something new, PLEASE capitalize on it nintendo 🙏
Nintendo’s FAQs for Pokemon FireRed & LeafGreen are strangely combative, it’s cracking me up
when you want to watch pink but your annoying ass roommate wants to watch green
i didn’t realize i was messing with the game boy like that this year tho
I will say, though, this is the most forced Amiibo compatibility I think we've seen yet LMAOOOOOOOO
Overall, i really hope Nintendo gave Camelot the space to polish this game up to the standards of their early entries in the series. If this game launches in a state that feels complete, I think Fever has potential to be the best Mario Tennis game yet!
I also noticed a lack of "free updates" mentioned in this trailer - hopefully this means Nintendo & Camelot have learned that this approach didn't really work for these games. The game seems to be launching with all characters, so I think that's a good sign!
Fever looks like it's learning from Aces' mistakes, adding back a lot of the wackier Mario elements to the series that have been missing since Power Tennis on GameCube, while also retaining a lot of Aces' mechanics like KOs. I think we might just be in for one of the best Mario Tennis games folks!
I am of the firm belief that Mario Tennis Aces was a good game that was forced out the door before all of its content was fully ready. The state it was released in left an unnecessarily sour taste in fans' mouths, understandably. However, it's undoubtedly the best Switch Mario Sports game.
dare i say, Mario Tennis Fever looks like it has sauce. I'm cautiously optimistic about this game as a Mario Tennis apologist
a goal of mine is to try to catalog more games I play on Backloggd next year so I can better keep track of everything I play. If that interests you, give me a follow over there! I like seeing what everyone's playing!
