If necessary (hopefully). Infantino & FIFA forget that they are merely the custodians of football, not its owners. And any custodian that neglects or destroys its charge deserves to be stripped of that right. It's the World's Cup, not FIFA's and certainly not the Evil Infant's.
Apart from Kerry, all Ireland & the Paddyaspora will celebrate Mayo winning today! The worst sporting curse since Babe Ruth is over. Plus, Gaelic Football again proved it is probably the most exciting, all-action team sport there is. And the fact it's still an AMATEUR sport is just unbelievable #GAA
AUF WIEDERSEHEN, PET: THE OFFICIAL CELEBRATION is a new book about the show that I'm extremely proud to have co-written with @tobybenjamin.bsky.social for @rocket88books.com. With all-new interviews, photos & writing about AWP, it's a must-read for Petheads - in any room in the house! aufpetbook.com

Thanks to @creativescreen.bsky.social for making THE FREEZER a Quarter-Finalist in its Short Screenplay Contest. It's the story of a student who, after a night out drinking, goes looking for food & ends up getting locked in a walk-in freezer. Somehow, he must escape, or face a slow, cold death.
THE LOVE PILLOW is an Official Selection of the 2026 Writes Short Screenplay Competition, via @filmfreeway.bsky.social. It's based on the extraordinary true story of a man who decided to make his beloved a traditional Japanese love pillow, but used lint (or belly-button fluff) as the filler.
As this final, chaotic test has proven, "Bazball" was always mis-spelled. The correct spelling is "Crazyball". #englishcricket
Forget the World Cup. Even allowing for the fact that it was in the shortest form of cricket, THIS is a giant-killing. #IrishCricket
Happy #worldcupday! (I have no problem getting in touch with my "inner child": it's my "inner adult" I struggle to find!) #worldcupday
I'm thrilled to announce I have co-written with @tobybenjamin.bsky.social AUF WIEDERSEHEN, PET: A CELEBRATION for @rocket88books.com. It's the story of the show, from initial idea to its new relevance in the age of AI. As the lads might say: "It's a reet canny read!" aufpetbook.com?fbclid=IwY2x...
How did Arsenal's fanbase get so big? Think of it as The 3Gs. It's: 1) GENERATIONAL: as the OBC (Original Big Club), our success & support go back nearly a century; 2) GLOBAL: Arsène's great early 21st C. sides took us from NL to the world; & 3) GENUINELY INCLUSIVE: any Gooner anywhere is one of us.
I hate to quote you right back at you, Zohran, but... #arsenalfamily #newyorkgooners #goonerverse
White. Black. Everything in between. Young. Old. Everything in between. Straight. Gay. Everything in between. North London. South London. Everything in between. NYC. Uganda. Everything in between. Muslim. Jew. Everything in between... GOONER? Welcome! #arsenalfamily #goonerverse
For perfectly obvious reasons, our name makes us the easiest club to mock. But that's also what makes us the greatest fans in the world. If we can survive school (or indeed life) supporting a team with the word "Arse" in its title, we can survive anything AND will always support our side. #Arsenal
If a true classic renews itself, then Arsenal are a truly classic football club. 1886: founded. 1925: Herbert Chapman becomes manager and makes them the best team in the world. 1971: first League and Cup Double. Anfield 89. The Invincibles. Now 2026. With hopefully some more history to come soon...
She would be, but for that other unfortunate stat, namely that she's lost three of her last four Major finals.
It's just possible Alex Manninger made the greatest contribution to AFC history of ANY "squad"/non-1st-team regular. He was crucial to the 1998 Double, in the League at Old Trafford and in the Cup at West Ham. Those two games alone make him an Arsenal immortal. TRULY Rest In Peace. #ripalexmanninger
Many mercis to the Art Giraffe International Film Festival in Nice, for making MANHOOD one of its Official Selections. MANHOOD is a comedy about a middle-aged man desperately trying to find the "fun" in "erectile dysfunction". For more info, please visit: theshakespeareplays.com
Many dankes to Berlin Short Film Awards for making TIGRESS the Winner of its Best Unproduced Screenplay award. It's a mini-biopic of Judith Kerr, author of children's classic 'The Tiger Who Came To Tea', whose life was as incredible as her writing. For more information, see: theshakespeareplays.com
Many dankes to the Berlin Short Film Awards 2026 for making TIGRESS a Finalist in its Best Short Script category. It's the story of Judith Kerr, author of the children's classic 'The Tiger Who Came To Tea', whose life was as remarkable as anything she wrote. For more info: theshakespeareplays.com
To quote Chas and Dave: "You've got more rabbit than Sainsbury's!" (Or indeed Chas and Dave themselves.)
I just submitted TIGRESS to Berlin Short Film Awards, via @filmfreeway.bsky.social. It's the script for a short biopic of Judith Kerr, the author of the children's classic The Tiger Who Came To Tea, whose own life (which included fleeing the Nazis) was more incredible than anything she wrote.
I just submitted MEETING to Helsinki's Moondust Film Festival, via @filmfreeway.bsky.social. It's a short film about the most incredible meeting imaginable - and even more incredibly, it's based on a true story! For more information on MEETING & other films and screenplays: theshakespeareplays.com
