Its been 24 years since the first time I saw Oneida tonight, and every time I'm still genuinely amazed and almost surprised (though I shouldn't be) at just how much they're locked in, more machine than band. And they closed with Sheets of Easter, bless.
Yeah when I saw them in ‘24 he was playing a guitar with so, so many frets, looked like total chaos (though I’m certain organized extremely non-chaotically)

I love when labels have a template like this. One of the coolest Sacred Bones ones was where they did the template as a gloss coat over an incongruous edge-to-edge cover design:
My best friend and I were one night from completing a Boston to SF drive, we stopped in Barstow CA, and this was on TV. Looked awful in all previews but decided to watch, & we agreed upon completion it was so much better than it had any right to be, and after many rewatches, this remains the case.
Also some very obvious normy (as in not single mixes or b-sides) stuff like Loveless or Isn’t Anything by MBV isn’t streaming. So you end up with a hilarious “MBV Essentials” playlist that looks like this:

For fun I laid a two mile line near me. The northeast end of the line is in Somerville, near Union Sq. The southeast end of the line is in Lower Allston, near Harvard Stadium. If my friends moved to Allston, they'd officially be "far" and our interactions and routines would fundamentally change.

On my work computer I have an Anni Albers tapestry, and on my music computer I have a pair of Superstudio collages, one for the laptop screen and one for the second monitor. The moment I get a new computer at work or home the first thing I do is put one of these up, like moving into a flat.
