Inspired by my fellow cats and flowers people, some flowers (and basil) in my garden.
More pix, the calm before the snowpocalypse calls for a beach walk. Nor'easter forecast here on the south shore of NS seems to be anywhere from 25-50 cms, with blowing and drifting tomorrow. Woot. We already have a snowbank beside our skinny driveway that is a bit high to throw snow onto.
I forgotten point out my snow cat sculpture looking in the window from our deck in the background behind the cat on the cat tree.
Haven't been here much lately, getting enough news on FB to saturate me with despair. But thought maybe you'd enjoy seeing the new cat we got in Dec. to keep our 2nd cat company because the first cat is a spicy girl and has little patience for boyz, esp the cat we got for her. If only he'd relax...
I know it's No Kings Day, and for that, I wish all American friends a safe, influential, and massive turnout! But it's still #caturday, so here's a pic of what my brave Minnie cat "hunted" last night from the toy basket and deposited as offerings at the foot of the bed. Be brave everyone!!
I took this on the other side ofctge province from Annapolis Royal at the same time!
#Caturday This one is my velcro cat. Curled up on my legs in bed, waiting for me as I shower, on my table when I am in the studio.
#caturday Not the happiest caturday ever, as we had to say goodbye this week to this fine fellow after 26 years. We still have two young ones to keep us company, but this regal old gentleman will be greatly missed. ❤️
Nope but I have a garden that keeps me busy, it us small but in a difficult town backyard, it has been a challenge but now looks like this
#Caturday #photographersofbluesky #toebeans Have a beautiful day, enjoy the gentle moments where you find them. They are what helps us through these callous times.
Here's my breakfast and dinner squirrel, on our deck in Nova Scotia. Had to put out bowls of water lately too, we're in a drought.
Recent developments. For some reason we only had two of six Monarch eggs hatch this time, usually all the ones we've found hatch into caterpillars.
The wee garden is full of little beings. I find creating habitats here in the middle of town, water dishes and small fountains for pollinators, birds, and the squirrel, and planting as much as I can cram into this space, keeps me focused on creation and potential and beauty. It helps in these times.
#PinkMon #PhotographersofBluesky I just discovered PinkMon, so here you go.
A respite from the posts I just shared about how creepy Peter Thiel is. It is beyond upsetting that these guys have so much power. More cats and dogs, please. #caturday
#caturday with my 16 year-old zen kitty. He's in his summer coat, recently shaved, more due to matting than the heat, but it seems to bring him to life.
Peony time. The blooms are just opening, I hope they don't get too much rain tomorrow or too much heat the day after, I don't want them exploding and done too soon. So lovely.
Behold the goddess! Getting ahead of #caturday tonight as I am sure ppl will have other things on their minds tomorrow. May everyone be of peace. 🙏☮️🕉🪷🕊
All the best for your birthday. Here's a cell phone photo, AI-free, of my neighbours rhododendron being visited by a large bee.
