This pretty little plant is called Nipplewort. The flowers close at night, like daisies. The tiny buds were thought to look like nipples and so the plant was believed to heal sore nipples. I've never seen this plant in my garden before. Meanwhile, the white clover studding the grass has lots of bees
1. I loved reading Paris Cat. There's a lot to think about in it. I know I reviewed it but cannot find the review. 2. My 2nd grandson just loved 100 Cats. He wanted it read "with" him often during the day & again at bedtime. We loved finding the mouse on each page. And that tail! #KidsBooksFriday

Nana was born on 01-07-1900. She was a warm, gentle lady. She witnessed a lot of social & political change during her life, & experienced a lot of sadness, losing her 2 beautiful sisters to the "Spanish" flu, her 42yo Mother soon after, & her 18month old 1st child to meningitis. She never complained

My darling Pop left us four years ago today. I still want to ring him when I've bought some plants for the garden. His garden was his pride and joy. He was a wonderful Dad, Grandad and Great-grandad, and most of all, a loving companion to Mom for 75 years.
I've recently discovered #KentHaruf's work. I think fans of @lizstrout.bsky.social and #AnneTyler will enjoy his books. I loved Our Souls at Night. So quiet, poignant & beautifully written. I devoured Plainsong & ordered the 2 sequels. Ignore the religious sounding titles, they're not! At all!
##KidsBooksFriday I loved this series when I was little. The Pookie series was a huge favourite, too. But some of them have been republished. And the now out-of-favour Noddy series.
