Gray-headed kingfisher! At the farm, but there's a river nearby. 🇰🇪
If you see an mzungu lady walking around a farm in Kenya wearing a Tycho shirt, it's me. 😅🇰🇪❤️
27 years ago, these two goofballs got married in Tucson, Arizona. 🌵❤️
So many birds on our walk around the farm this morning! White-bellied go-away birds, white-backed vultures, long-tailed fiscal. 🤩🇰🇪
I've been in Kenya for two weeks & already bought my ticket to come back over winter break! Ticket prices are great right now. ✈️🇰🇪🤑 Also look at tonight's moon. 😍
First full moon this Kenya trip! Taken at 6:50 PM (just after sunset) with my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The camera continues to blow me away after using my iPhone 13 Pro Max for the last 4 years! 💫
Some wildlife I saw on the farm yesterday: white-bellied go-away bird, orange-winged dropwing dragonfly, speckled mouse bird. 🇰🇪
My shadow at the June Solstice! It was 11:40 AM & we're at 1.289733°S latitude. Solar noon is at 12:34 PM. Today is the furthest the sun will be from here. 🇰🇪
Made it to Kenya last night! Today is resting and hydration. 😅
A couple apps have IDed this as Rosa setigera rather than Rosa multiflora, but it’s really growing along our back fence this year. And this bumble bee was enjoying it. 🐝
Still dreaming about Point Lobos. We went yesterday morning. John and I hadn’t been since 2009! On the plane home now. 😅
Went on a walk this morning. It was 49°F and cloudy. Perfect!! And saw these ladies on my way. 🐓
Today’s banana bread! Can’t wait to eat some after it cools off. 🍌😍 Hope you’re less stressed today!
Took a couple moon photos this morning before sunrise with my camera. But they’re nothing compared to the astronaut photos of Earth from lunar orbit being released this morning. Go see them!! 🌍🌖
